The Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted a Local Organising Committee (LOC) and several subcommittees ahead of the official flag-off of the party’s 2027 presidential campaign scheduled for October 24, 2026, in Kaduna.
The party said Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, approved the appointments to ensure a smooth and successful hosting of the campaign opening event.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the LOC, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, the committee will be led by the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe.
The statement explained that the committee is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all activities leading to the official launch of the APC’s 2027 presidential campaign in the state.
It also announced that all individuals whose names appear on the approved committee list have been formally notified of their appointments and assigned responsibilities.
The party further disclosed that an inaugural meeting involving committee chairmen, deputy chairmen, secretaries, assistant secretaries and members of the LOC Secretariat was scheduled for Monday, with the time and venue to be communicated separately.
The statement urged all appointees to treat their assignments with urgency and commitment to ensure the success of the event.
It stated: “All concerned appointees are requested to make themselves available and accord their assignments the urgency, dedication and commitment required to ensure the successful hosting of this important event.”
The October 24 campaign flag-off is expected to formally launch the APC’s nationwide activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with Kaduna chosen as the host state for the opening rally.
Political parties have gradually begun preparations for the 2027 general elections, with campaign structures and mobilisation activities gathering momentum across the country.
