The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announced on Saturday that 576 new cases of COVID-19 infections had been recorded in the country, bringing total confirmed cases to 89,163.
According to the NCDC, of the confirmed infections, a total of 74,789 cases had been treated and discharged, while 1,302 deaths had been recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic in Nigeria in early 2020.
This information is contained in daily update released by the health agency via its official twitter, @NCDCgov.
A breakdown of the 576 new cases showed that Lagos had 277. followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 90 and Oyo-51.
The remaining cases came from Nasarawa-49, Sokoto-23, Anambra-14, Bauchi-11, Imo-11. Kano-11, Edo-10, Plateau-10, Ogun-9, Osun-5, Jigawa-3 and Rivers-2.
