Russian President, Vladimir Putin has mourned the death of Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi
Recalled that President Raisi, aged 63, and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and two others died following a helicopter crash in the country’s mountainous province of East Azerbaijan.
President Putin in a condolence message on Monday, said: “Raisi made an invaluable contribution to Russian-Iranian relations.
He added that Raisi was an outstanding politician whose whole life was devoted to serving the Motherland.
” He rightfully enjoyed the high respect of his compatriots and considerable prestige abroad.
“As a true friend of Russia, he made an invaluable personal contribution to the development of good-neighborly relations between our countries, and made great efforts to bring them to the level of strategic partnership.” He said.
