No fewer than 14 corps members have been tested postitive to Covid-19 infections in Sokoto State.
The State Commissioner for Health, and Chairman Task Force on Covid-19, Dr. Ali Inname stated this while giving update on the pandemic in Sokoto
While assuring that all the affected corps members are recieving medical atttention at one of the State isolation centers, Dr. Inname, however, added that 19,557 persons have so far been tested in Sokoto with 787 confirmed positive.
He said that 28 death were recorded in the State feom Covid-19.
Dr Inname also assured that they are not relenting in their task towards ensuring sound health for everybody in the State.
Reacting to the development, the State Public Relations Officer of NYSC, Malam Sani Idris said he was not aware of such development, as according to him, all corps members on camp were subjected to Covid-19 test before allowing them into the camp
Other corps members who spoke to our correspondent on grounds of anonymity also said they were not aware that anybody was confirmed positive, hence, they were not told.
