Ndinne pair of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season 9 show has emerged winner of the first custodian challenge.
The duo won the challenge held on Sunday night when 14 pairs of 24 housemates got into the house.
With this, the pair is automatically exempted from possible eviction in the first week of the “No loose Guard” edition
The Ndinne pair has also been empowered to influence nominations for possible eviction in the first week as well.
The duo was decorated with the custodian badge and given the custodian box, while they await further instruction from Biggie.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that challenge involved the 28 housemates picking a representative from each of the pairs, while the 14 representatives picked were made to pick plastic bottles hidden inside a pool of water.
Nneamaka, who represented Ndinne duo was able to pick the desired bottle with the custodian badge.
The housemates include an interesting line-up of a couple, two sets of identical twins, an aunt and a niece, and close-knit friends.
The housemates are in the house battling it out for the N100m winning prize.
The show is expected to run for 10 weeks. (NAN)
Edem crashes out as Team Nigeria suffers another loss at Paris Olympics
Offiong Edem lost to Brazil’s Bruna Takahashi 4-0 on Sunday to add to Team Nigeria’s losing run at the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris.
Edem lost 8-11 4-11 11-13 10-12 in her Round of 64 match in the women’s singles event of the table tennis competition.
Her loss made it the third loss of the day for Team Nigeria, which had earlier lost in boxing and football.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that it was cumulatively Team Nigeria’s sixth loss competitively.
This was after seeing the Super Falcons lost their opening game 0-1 against Brazil on Thursday in women’s football.
The duo of Quadri Aruna and Olajide Omotayo also lost in the men’s singles of table tennis on Saturday.
NAN reports that Fatimo Bello who plays her first game of the women’s singles on Monday is Nigeria’s remaining hope in the singles events of the table tennis competition.(NAN)
