Borno palliatives committee distributes food items again to 1000 IDP households in Kawuri

1000 returnees of Kawuri village in Kondug LGA have received food items from a standing palliative committee set up by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum six months ago  as part of support to the  displaced and vulnerable households.

The palliative committee which Governor Zulum had in April, inaugurated  and flagged- off statewide  which began at Muna IDPs camp in Jere local government area.

The committee of 17 members which  is chaired by the  State Commissioner, of Agriculture,  Engr Bukar Talba had distributed  food items to 1000 returnee IDP households in 15 wards in Maiduguri.

It  also recently resumed activities in Jere LGA last weekend where it distributed food  items to 6,000 households and the palliative committee was in Konduga LGA as part of its daily routine to reach out to the vulnerable population across Borno state.
