Nigerian France-based reggae queen, Evi Edna Ogholi who has been silent in terms of new album releases, since she left the shores of the country some years back, is finally set to drop something new.
Only last year, she was almost through with a new musical project and about to release it into the market when she noticed a technical fault and consequently cancelled it.
The good news is that she is finally ready. In a brief chat with yours sincerely from her Paris base during the week, the tested, trusted and reliable reggae rocker whose fan-base remains awesome said that the project has been completed and ready for consumption.
A listen to the title-track, ‘’Peace and Love’’ the sample of which she also attached, showed that it’s still vintage Evi Edna with her trademark roots reggae vibes, no deviation except in terms of sophistication.
Her reggae music pattern, though simple and breezy, is still a winner any day. Strangely, the vacuum has remained open these years.
’Yea, the job is finally ready and will be released simultaneously in Europe and Nigeria [Africa] soon. The title is ‘Peace and Love’ and contains eight tracks in the CD. More details coming soon,’’ she promised.
