Ibom Air has announced a major milestone in its growth journey, welcoming its 5,000,000th passenger on 25 September 2026.
The milestone was reached on Friday 25th September 2026, on Ibom Air’s 65,787th scheduled commercial flight since inception.
This achievement reflects the enduring trust and confidence that passengers continue to place in Ibom Air and reinforces the airline’s commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and customer-focused air transport services across its network.
The airline’s Manager in Charge of Marketing and Communication, Aniekan Essienette, said in a statement that reaching five million passengers was “strong evidence of our customers’ loyalty, our employees’ dedication, and the support of our partners and stakeholders, who have contributed to the airline’s steady growth and success.”
According to her, as Ibom Air celebrates this landmark accomplishment, the airline “remains focused on strengthening connectivity through offering schedule reliability, on-time departures, and excellent service for our passengers.”
Ibom Airlines Limited is a limited liability company wholly owned by the Akwa Ibom State Government and aims to set the standard as the airline of choice for passengers by focusing on schedule reliability, on-time departures, and excellent service. Ibom Air’s fleet currently comprises seven Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Regional Jet CRJ 900s and three Airbus A220-300s, serving seven domestic destinations and Accra, Ghana.
