Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab on Friday urged the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to help Lebanon in its fight against COVID-19, the National News Agency reported.
Diab asked Guterres in a phone call to help Lebanon secure hospitals beds, medical equipment and ventilators, and support the country in its vaccination campaign against COVID-19.
Guterres expressed his deep understanding for the challenges facing Lebanon especially after Beirut port’s blasts which exacerbated the difficulties caused by the outbreak of COVID-19. (Xinhua/NAN)
