The Fulani Socio-cultural organization known as the Miyetti Allah Kauta Hore has criticized states governors advocating for the implementation of anti-open grazing laws which could escalate the already tensed security in the country
The National President of Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Abdulahi Bello Bodejo, stated this on Monday during a press conference held at the National Secretariat of the association in Nasarawa State.
Alhaji Bodejo said the attempts to ban open grazing of animals is aimed at getting cheap popularity by the governors to divert people’s attention from the high profile corruption they have perpetrated in office.
Alhaji Bodejo, who spoke through the General Secretary of the association, Engr. Saleh Alhassan, described such governors as desperate politicians determined to end pastoral agriculture and deny herders of their legitimate means of livelyhood.
The body described as dangerous such moves by the governors who are doing nothing to develop their Tijanistates, while calling on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to carry out an investigation on them.
The organization also confered on a United States of America business woman, Hajia Amina Tijani an award of honor as the diaspora mother of Fulani all over the world where she promised to champion the course
