A Non-Governmental Organization, Doctorz, has offered free medical check-up to over 500 widows and orphans across the Federal Capital Territory ?FCT), Abuja.
Administrator of the NGO, Mr Samson Ocholi said the event was to compliment government’s efforts in achieving universal health coverage.
Mr. Ocholi said the outreach was targeted at widows and orphans because they are the most vulnerable persons in the Society.
He noted that the NGO in partnership with other organizations would also help the beneficiaries access quality healthcare services if diagnosed with any ailment.
A medical personal in the organization, Dr Chidi Umeokoli said this was also an opportunity to educate beneficiaries on ways to take care of themselves.
The beneficiaries expressed joy and appreciation to Doctorz, for the opportunity to revamp there health.
