Nigeria on Wednesday recorded 111 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 57,724.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known via its official twitter handle @NCDCgov.
It said the of the 111 new cases, Lagos accounted for 31, followed by Gombe-18, Kaduna-18, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)-15 and Rivers-14.
The remaining cases came from Imo-3, Kwara-3, Oyo-3, Bayelsa-2, Ogun-2, Edo-1, and Osun-1.
According to the health agency, out of the 57,724 confirmed cases of infections, 48,985 had been successfully treated and discharged, while 1,102 deaths were recorded.
