The senior special assistant to Delta state Governor, Prince Olatunji Olusoji on Saturday expressed shock over the passing of Flight Lt. Alfred Ayodeji Olufade condoling with the family on the loss of such a promising officer, whose short stay on earth impacted greatly on the nation, especially in peace and security.
The SSA, in a statement on Saturday also sympathised with government and people of Kogi State on the loss.
Olufade died along other 10 Officers of the Nigerian Army in a plane crash on Friday.
“It was such a rude shock to hear of the unfortunate tragedy involving our son who just got married in February Flight Lt. Alfred Ayodeji Olufade,
“This is a day that we all mourn this grave and untimely loss together.
“Olufade died in a plane crash in the line of duty. When he was here , he was a highly regarded Officer, a handsome Pilot whose love for his country was unwavering.
He described the late Airman as a good man and a great soldier
“Olufade was a good man and a great Soldier and it was no surprise that he was part of the entourage of the Chief of Army Staff himself.
“I extend my heartfelt-sympathy and condolences to our King- Oba of Ayere Kingdom, the Olufade Family and the good people of Ayere Kingdom. May the good Lord grant his Soul eternal rest”. Olusoji said.
