As of July 18, confirmed COVID-19 case total from 55 African countries reached 683,492, rising by 19,540 in 24 hours.
Reported deaths in Africa have reached 14,673 and recoveries 360,379, according to allafrica.com.

South Africa has the most reported cases – 337,594, with deaths numbering 4,804.
Other most-affected countries include Egypt (86,474 cases), Nigeria (35,454), Ghana (26,125) and Algeria (21,572).
The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well national and regional public health departments.
