Polaris Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering exceptional customer service as it prepares to celebrate the 2026 Customer Service Week from October 5 to 9. The week-long event will be held under the theme, “The Extra Mile.”
The bank said the celebration reflects its determination to place customers at the centre of its operations while improving the quality of banking services across all its channels.
According to the bank, Customer Service Week has become an important annual event for appreciating customers, recognising outstanding employees and promoting a strong customer-focused culture within the organisation.
Over the years, Polaris Bank has adopted different themes to strengthen service delivery. In 2020, it celebrated under the theme “Dream Team,” recognising employees who maintained quality service during a challenging period. Subsequent editions focused on customer appreciation, teamwork, stronger customer relationships and service excellence, while the 2025 theme, “Mission: Possible,” highlighted employees’ ability to overcome challenges and provide excellent customer experiences.
The bank’s efforts have also received industry recognition. In the 2022 KPMG Customer Experience Survey, Polaris Bank emerged as the most improved bank in the retail banking segment after moving five places to sixth position, reflecting improvements in customer experience and service delivery.
Speaking ahead of this year’s celebration, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Polaris Bank, Mr. Kayode Lawal, said customers remain the foundation of the bank’s success.
> “Customers are at the heart of everything we do. Their feedback, trust and partnership challenge us to keep improving and delivering value every day. Customer Service Week is an opportunity to recognise that relationship and remind ourselves that great service must go beyond expectation,” he said.
The bank explained that this year’s theme, _“The Extra Mile,”_ reflects the changing expectations of customers and the need for financial institutions to deliver services that exceed expectations.
It noted that going the extra mile involves listening carefully to customers, resolving complaints promptly, providing clear information, simplifying banking processes, anticipating customer needs and showing empathy whenever necessary.
Polaris Bank added that this commitment covers all its customer service channels, including its branch network, contact centre and digital banking platforms such as VULTe, to ensure customers enjoy seamless banking services wherever they choose to transact.
As part of the 2026 Customer Service Week, the bank will organise activities across its branches and digital platforms to celebrate customers, recognise outstanding staff members and encourage customer feedback to improve service delivery.
Customer Service Week is observed globally every October to recognise the importance of quality customer service and celebrate organisations and employees who consistently deliver excellent service. For Polaris Bank, the 2026 edition reinforces its resolve to make outstanding customer service a daily culture rather than a yearly event.
The bank said every interaction with customers provides another opportunity to build trust, respond promptly and create lasting value through excellent service.
