VP Kashim Shettima consoling a bereaved family member
Shortly after paying a condolence visit and homage to the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived at Tukur Lodge, the family residence of the late Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, where he conveyed the condolences of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the bereaved family.
VP Shettima described the late elder statesman as a quintessential statesman and accomplished Nigerian whose passing would be deeply felt, noting that his life deserved to be celebrated for his distinguished record of service in public life, entrepreneurship and national development.

The Vice President also commended the Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for the support extended to the family during their period of grief.
He urged members of the Tukur family to remain united and preserve the legacy of peace, service and family cohesion for which their late patriarch was known.
Responding on behalf of the family, the deceased’s first son and Secretary to the Adamawa State Government, Alhaji Awwal Tukur, thanked President Tinubu for his words of comfort and expressed the family’s appreciation to VP Shettima and members of the Federal Government delegation for the visit.
