Former Governor of Zamfara, Abdulazeez Yari
Former Governor of Zamfara, Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar says politicizing security matters would do more harm to the state and called on public commentators to guard their utterances.
Ex-Governor Yari who stated this while addressing journalists at his Talata Mafara resident, reiterated the need for all hands to be on deck to end the challenges.
“Security matters are federal government ‘s affairs with only logistics supports by state governments, hence their decision at national level to advice President Muhammadu Buhari on the best way to end the menace of all forms of criminal activities in the country.” Yari said.
He said bandits and their collaborators should be brought to book and no stone should be left unturned.
On banning mining by President Muhammadu Buhari, he said the link between mining and banditry can’t be declared directly except with thorough investigations, and urged the people of Zamfara to continue supporting security agents with intelligence and prayers.
