President Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima
Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A), a political support movement backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has announced plans to mobilise 10,000 supporters from the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for the flag-off of the President’s 2027 re-election campaign in Kaduna State.
The group said the planned mobilisation was aimed at demonstrating its organisational strength and sustaining grassroots political support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Head of Media Relations of Arewa for Asiwaju, Edwin Olofu, the movement’s Director-General, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, said the target of 10,000 supporters reflected the group’s determination to demonstrate its organisational capacity and sustain political mobilisation in support of the President.
He explained that the mobilisation would be coordinated through the movement’s national leadership, state coordinators and grassroots structures to ensure effective participation from different parts of Northern Nigeria and the FCT.
According to him, the movement is strengthening its coordination mechanisms and engaging its support base at the state, local government and community levels to achieve the targeted turnout.
Abubakar described the campaign flag-off as an important political gathering that would bring together supporters of the President, party stakeholders and members of allied political movements to demonstrate their commitment to his re-election bid.
He noted that the event would also provide an opportunity for members of Arewa for Asiwaju to reaffirm their support for Tinubu’s political agenda and strengthen collaboration among supporters across the region.
The Director-General urged state coordinators, local mobilisation teams and members of the movement to intensify preparations, expand grassroots engagement and maintain effective communication to ensure the successful implementation of the mobilisation plan.
He further called on members to conduct their activities peacefully, responsibly and in an orderly manner, stressing the importance of discipline and effective coordination in achieving the movement’s objectives.
