Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has debunked circulating advertisements claiming recruitment for the 2025/2026 Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) and Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC), labeling them as fraudulent.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, clarified that no such recruitment exercise is currently underway.
“We wish to inform the public that the Nigerian Air Force has not commenced any recruitment for the 2025/2026 BMTC or DSSC,” Ejodame stated.
“These advertisements are fake, and we urge everyone to disregard them completely.”
Emphasizing the NAF’s commitment to transparency, he added, “Our recruitment and enlistment processes are free, transparent, and merit-based.

Ejodame advised the public to rely solely on official NAF channels for accurate information.
