Members of the Kaduna State APC Consensus Aspirants Forum have resolved to deploy their political structures across the state to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
The aspirants, who spoke at a press conference in Kaduna, said their decision followed their acceptance of the consensus arrangement initiated by Governor Uba Sani, which they described as a demonstration of commitment to party unity and collective interest.
The chairman of the forum, Godwin Luka, popularly known as Mai Solar, said the aspirants had decided to put their individual political ambitions aside and transform their structures into a grassroots mobilisation force for the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to him, the mobilisation would cover polling units, wards and local government areas, with the forum determined to work towards securing victory for all APC candidates in Kaduna State.
Luka said the forum’s support for President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani was not based solely on party loyalty, but on what he described as the performance of the two administrations at the federal and state levels.
He cited ongoing federal infrastructure projects, including the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano road and the Sokoto-Badagry corridor, as some of the initiatives which, according to him, demonstrated the commitment of the Tinubu administration to infrastructure development and economic growth.
On the state government, the APC consensus aspirants commended Governor Uba Sani for what they described as massive interventions in roads, healthcare, education and agriculture.
They said the administration had initiated about 150 road projects covering more than 1,300 kilometres across the 23 local government areas, alongside upgrades of 255 primary healthcare centres.
The forum also cited the completion of a 300-bed specialist hospital, establishment of 23 Centres of Excellence, construction and renovation of classrooms, recruitment of teachers, establishment of new secondary schools and distribution of agricultural inputs to farmers as evidence of the governor’s grassroots interventions.
The chairman urged APC members to remain united, saying the forum would embark on unit-to-unit consultations, ward-to-ward mobilisation and direct engagement with communities to strengthen the party ahead of 2027.
He appealed to members to shun divisions, stressing that the decision to accept the consensus arrangement was not the end of their political journey but the beginning of a collective effort to deliver victory for the APC.
