Buhari mourns LEADERSHIP Publisher, Nda-Isaiah, says ‘he was a friend and ally’

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock and sadness at the death of Publisher of LEADERSHIP Newspapers, Sam Nda-Isaiah, a man he describes as “a friend and ally.”

In a statement by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Femi Adesina on Saturday, the President condoled with the media fraternity, the Nda-Isaiah family, friends and associates of the deceased.

“The country has lost a man of conviction, a resolute and dogged believer in a better Nigeria,” Buhari lamented.

“He will be sorely missed. This is a massive fish gone out of the media ocean,” President Buhari further said.

Nda-Isaiah, a pharmacist and renowned columnist, was a one-time presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside President Buhari and others.

He reportedly died in the morning at the Government hospital in Gwagwalada in Abuja after a brief illness.

A report, quoting a family source, said the LEADERSHIP Newspaper publisher may have died as a result of complications from COVID-19.
