The Global Alliance for Vaccine Initiative (GAIV) and UNICEF Nigeria are set to hold consultation on vaccine initiative supports for routine immunisation in fragile and humanitarian space in Borno State and the Northeast region.
The International organizations disclosed this when they paid a courtesy visit to Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, who was represented by his Deputy, Hon. Usman Kadufur at the Government House, Maiduguri.

The governor commended GAVI for the visit and promised that the state government would look into all gaps identified by GAVI as challenges affecting successful immunisation exercise in a bid to address them.

In her introductory remark, Hon commissioner, Ministry of Health, Mrs Juliana Bitrus, said the GAVI visit in the state would enable them to discuss extensively with all stakeholders in the current immunisation work in North East and Borno State with a view to address all the challenges especially in accessible areas of the state due to insecurity.
