In continuation of their yearly support to host communities in Sokoto State, The BUA Cement Company has donated N10m worth of cement to host communities in Wamakko Local Government Area of the state.
The donated cement which has a market value of over ten million naira was meant for 70 communities in Wamakko LGA.
Speaking before the presentation, the Managing Director of BUA, Engr Yusuf Haliru Binji reassured that the BUA company enjoys a cordial relationship with their host communities.
Engr. Binji, who was represented by the Head of Administration and Corporate Affairs of BUA, Mr Sada Suleiman added that the company has been executing numerous Corporate Social Responsibility programmes to all host communities.
While stressing that this assistance was meant to help in facilitating the execution of development projects such as renovation of mosques, public well, Islamic schools, and other structures that are of public interest.
He further added that BUA has in the past contributed significantly to community development projects such as provision of potable drinking water, electrification projects, rural roads, healthcare services, educational materials supports, scholarships, women and youth empowerment, amongst others in both Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States.

Thanking BUA cement for their gesture, the Chairman of Wamakko LGA, Alhaji Bello Haliru-Guiwa represented by his Local Government Secretary, Alhaji Chika Umar, urged other companies across the country to take cue from BUA.
Both the Wamakko Council Chairman, Haliru Guiwa and the District Head of Wamakko, Alhaji Aliyu Barade recalled that BUA recently donated assorted drugs to six primary health care centres of the different host communities.
