A group known as “Karu Elites for Engineer A.A Sule” has canvased on the need to re-elect the Governor of Nasarawa State Engr. Abdulahi Sule for a second term
The group stated this today at Karu as part of their efforts to gather more support for the re-election bid of the governor
President of Karu Elites for A.A. Sule, Mr. Bala Chidawa Tunkpa made their position known while addressing members at a plaza located opposite Karu LGA Secretariat.
According to him, the governor has done enough for the people of state that deserve the support of all.
He highlighed the regular payment of staff salaries, payment of pension and gratuities as well as the execution of projects as some of the things the governor has done that deserves their endorsement of him for re-election.
Mr. Tunkpa, who is a retired Town Planning Officer with the Nasarawa Civil Service, emphasized that the monumental achiements recorded by the governor were visible for people to see as compared to what other governors have done.
He advised the people of Karu not t engage in the politics of opposition as the governor has given them many appointments including that of the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Mr. Phillip Dada.
Also speaking at the occasion, a woman activist, Mrs. Dorothy Kodape described Engineer Abdulahi Sule as a humble and dedicated leader committed to genuine cause of his people especially women and reiterated their ressolve to mobilize women to come out in their mass to participate in the on-going revalidation of voters registration to enable them vote for the governor in the forth coming election.
In his speech, the leader of Igbo people in Karu Chief Raphael Anayo Nebeokike who enumerated the governor’s achievements in office, promised to personally mobilize Igbo traders and the entire people of the south-south resident in Karu to vote for the All Progressives Congress in the forth coming elections.
Earlier in his speech, the Karu LGA chairman of APC, Mr. Gaskiya Auta who was visibly happy with members of Karu Elites for A.A.Sule told them that they were on the right track and will convey their activities to the state chapter of the party for more recognition.
