The Borno State Chapter of The All Progressives Congress (APC) has upheld the return of all its former executive members to lead the party for another four years.
The Chairman, APC Electoral Committee and ex-Deputy Governor of Taraba State, H.E Uba Maigari Adamu speaking at the state congress held in, Maiduguri, on Saturday, said the delegates and chieftains of the party have agreed to return former executive members.
Hon. Adamu commended the organising committee for a successful congress, stating that “after due consultations, the Borno APC has shown its unity which is obvious by the turn out enmass of the party leadership, delegates and supporters, there by resulting to collation by nomination and consensus to re-elect the former executives to retain their offices for another term to develop the party for the greater future”.
The Chairman Organising Commitee, who doubles as the Acting Party Chairman, the State Deputy Governor H.E Umar Usman Kadafur in his address stated that the congress is an avenue for the selection of party executives, who will serve as pillars to develop the party structure and propagate its aims and objectives.
On his part, the Executive Governor of Borno State Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum In his Address commended the efforts of the committee members towards organizing the successful congress in the spirit of unity and commitment expressed by the party’s caucus, members and supporters.
He further, added that the APC in Borno shall prosper under his able leadership and called on the support of all and sundry for the commitment to the development of the party.
In his acceptance speech, the New APC state Chairman, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori expressed his appreciation to His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum and all delegates for the opportunity to serve again and reiterates their commitment to uplift the party to a greater height.

Senator Kashim Shettima and former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff, The Deputy Governor Umar Usman Kadafur, Former Deputy Governors Ali Abubakar Jatau and Adamu shettima Yuguda Dibal, Members of the National and State Assemblies of Borno, Members of the state Executive Council, Chairmen of the Local Governments and the party Delegates.
