Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum has reassured his government’s commitment and determination to ensure that all the Multi-sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP) are implemented to the letter for the benefit of people of Borno.
The governor made the assurance while receiving the report on the merger of Community Service Development Projects (CSDP), School Education Partnership Initiative Project (SEPIP), and National-State Health Initiative Project (N-SHIP) from the designated committe at the Council Chambers of the Government House Maiduguri.
He appreciated the committee members for their commitment and efforts in carrying out a thorough job while assuring the committee members that he will study the report and their recommendations with a view to implementing them.
Earlier, The Chairman of the committee, Engineer Mustapha Gubio said the 17-members were inaugurated on the 18th of June this year with the mandate of collapsing the three structures of CSDP, SEPIP and N-SHIP into the MCRP.
Engr. Gubio added that after several technical deliberations and meetings, the committee was able to come up with a comprehensive report alongside appendices and recommendations on how best to merge the organizations by the state government.
He said that proper coordination was crucial to ensure even distribution and impactful project execution across the state. He urged the project coordinators to cooperate fully with the state agency for the coordination of humanitarian activities towards meeting their mandates
Engineer Gubio, who is also The Borno State Commissioner of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (RRR), expressed profound gratitude and appreciation to Governor Zulum for finding the committee members worthy and fit to lead the committee.
He also thanked the committee members for their high sense of commitment, responsibility and maturity in carrying out the onerous task.
