Former Senate President, David Mark
African Democratic Congress (ADC) is committed to being a party for all Nigerians, without discrimination or bias, according to the party’s Acting National Chairman, Sen. David Mark.
Mark made the assertion at the unveiling of the coalition in Makurdi, emphasizing that the party belongs to all the people, not just one person or group.
He assured that all members would have equal opportunities and be treated with fairness and respect.
Everyone will be treated equally
“There will be no discrimination or shortchanging of anyone. Everyone will be treated equally, regardless of who you are. The party is for the people, not for one person.
“We want the people to take ownership of the party, which is why we encourage you to consult and nominate potential leaders,” Mark said.
The national chairman announced a 7-man pro tem leadership of the party, constituted after wide consultation, to supervise the registration of new members and ensure a smooth transition.
The pro tem Chairman, Mr. Terngu Tsegba, assured that the party would be honest in all its dealings with members and strive to observe the rules and regulations of the party.
He outlined the party’s agenda, which includes: Providing good governance and ensuring security; granting local government autonomy and scrapping the Bureau of Local Government; ensuring equitable distribution of offices throughout the state; treating everyone as a stakeholder in the state, regardless of their background or socio-economic status
*“ADC Will Rule with the Fear of God”*
“The ADC will rule this state with the fear of God; we will adhere to the constitution.
“We will provide good governance and ensure your security. We will work to ensure that all our internally displaced people return to their ancestral homes,” Tsegba said.
Chief David Olofu, speaking for the people of the Benue South Senatorial District, announced that the entire zone has embraced the new party and is battle-ready for the 2027 election.
*“A Party for All”*
The ADC’s commitment to inclusivity and fairness is a welcome development in the state’s political landscape.
With its promise of good governance and equal opportunities for all, the party is positioning itself as a viable alternative to the current administration.
