IGP Olutunji Disu and Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, during a courtesy visit in Port-Harcourt
Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Tuesday, 13th October 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, at Government House, Port Harcourt.
The visit marked a homecoming for the IGP, who previously served as Commissioner of Police in Rivers State in 2024, and provided an opportunity to strengthen the existing partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the State Government.
The IGP reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to sustained collaboration with the Rivers State Government and relevant stakeholders in maintaining law and order, safeguarding lives and property, and promoting peace and public safety across the State.
