North East Development Commission (NEDC) has donated office equipment and accessories to the North East Governors’ Forum (NEGF) newly appointed Director (DG) General, Umar Musa Gulani on Wednesday.
The NEDC Managing Director/ CEO, Alhaji Mohammed Goni Alkali in his remark while presenting the sophisticated modern office equipment and accessories to the DG on Wednesday evening at the Commissions headquarters Maiduguri, said the items were donated to the forum for the second time to complements and strengthen the existing cordial working relationship and partnership with the NEGF.
He added that the operations and mandate of the commission fall within the North East region and territory of the State Governors where some activities of th commission are being executed or implemented in collaboration with the state governments of the North East.
Alkali noted also that this is not the first time that the commission is supporting the forum, pointing out that, in the past, vehicles, office equipments and accessories among others were provided to facilitate the take off and Operation of the forum.
He however pledged to continue to support and facilitate some of the activities of the forum while congratulating the new Director General, Umar Musa Gulani and assured him of fruitful and positive collaboration within the spheres of the commissions mandate.
Receiving the items, the Director General of the NEGF, Umar Musa Gulani expressed his appreciation and assured continuous cordial working relationship and collaboration with the commission to transform the North East region.
He noted that his doors are always opened and ever ready for contribute his quota towards the transformation of the North East region following the devastating effects of the prolong insurgency in most parts of the states of the zone.
Items donated by the NEDC to the NEGF include Air Condition System (Split-System), Laptop Computers (HP Brand), Industrial Printer (HP Brand) and Paper Shredding Machines.
