Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has arrived at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi for today’s session of the 18th BRICS Leaders’ Summit.
VP Shettima was received by the host, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ahead of the high-level deliberations involving leaders of BRICS member and partner countries.

Also attending the summit are Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, among other heads of state and government.
The session will focus on resilience, innovation, cooperation, sustainability and inclusive global growth, as Nigeria pushes for deeper economic partnerships and a stronger voice for the Global South.
