Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital is a first-of-its-kind facility in Northeast Nigeria. It was established by Professor Babagana Umara Zulum. The 400-bed teaching hospital is designed to provide cutting-edge healthcare services comparable to those of any hospital worldwide.
The hospital is a comprehensive healthcare and training institution that features 13 departments, including diagnostic, medical, surgical, physiotherapy, emergency, and pediatric among others.
It also has a medical college complex, a students’ hostel, an oxygen plant complex and a 200-unit staff estate.
The facility has modern diagnostic equipment, including a sophisticated 1.5-tesla MRI scanner, a 160-slice CT scanner, three conventional and two mobile X-ray machines, three 4D ultrasound machines, a fluoroscopy system for real-time imaging, and a digital mammography machine.
