Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new technology-driven system that allows candidates to upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for compulsory visits to Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for the exercise.
The initiative, announced in a press statement signed by JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, follows the Board’s integration with examination bodies, beginning with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), to enable direct verification of candidates’ Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results.
According to the Board, the new arrangement is part of its efforts to improve service delivery by making the process faster, safer and more convenient for candidates across the country.
JAMB explained that the verification system allows candidates to submit their O’Level results online while the Board independently confirms the authenticity of the results with the relevant examination bodies before they are uploaded to candidates’ profiles.
The Board said the innovation would significantly reduce congestion at CBT centres, eliminate long queues and minimise manual processes that often slow down service delivery.
It added that the system also addresses challenges associated with manual result uploads, including misplaced documents, incorrect entry of subjects and grades, as well as the submission of unverified or fraudulent results.
Through the integration of JAMB’s e-Facility platform with examination bodies, candidates’ results will now be verified directly from official records before being reflected on their profiles.
How Candidates Can Upload Their O’Level Results
JAMB outlined a two-stage process for candidates wishing to use the new service.
The first stage involves verification of results through the dedicated portal. Candidates are required to visit buyresultsverificationcode.ng, verify their National Identification Number (NIN), select the number of sittings and examination body, provide their email address and phone number, make payment, and then enter their examination details to obtain a verification code.
For the second stage, candidates are expected to send “VERIFY” followed by their verification code to 55019 or 66019. After successful verification, the result will be uploaded automatically.
Candidates combining two sittings will receive a notification directing them to log into their e-Facility profile, where they can access the 2026 UTME O’Level Upload page, select the relevant subjects from their verified results and complete the upload.
JAMB advised candidates to ensure they select a minimum of five subjects and not more than nine, while avoiding duplicate subject selections before submitting their results.
The Board noted that the new verification service offers candidates a more convenient option, particularly during periods of heavy traffic and network challenges experienced at CBT centres.
JAMB said the initiative reflects the commitment of its sixth Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to a customer-focused and technology-driven service delivery system.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to deploying digital solutions and strengthening collaboration with examination bodies and relevant government agencies to make its services simpler, safer and more accessible to candidates.
