The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC is set to establish women corps unit to compliment the different operations going on across the country.
Dr. Ahmed Audi who officially took over as the 3rd Commandant General stated this at the handing over ceremony which was held at the Corps headquarters in Abuja.
Dr Audi promised to bring new strategy into the leadership of the corps while emphasizing training and retraining of personnel to meet the mandate of the Corps.
He also pledged to promote accountability and transparency in NSCDC as well as reward hard work and competence.
“My leadership shall uphold the tenets of meritocracy over and above any ethnic, religious, cultural or emotional affiliations. Hence, we shall review our methods and system of conducting promotion exercises for personnel and ensure we correct all anomalies and imbalances in order to continue to motivate and strengthen the morale of our productive workforce”. CG noted.
Dr Audi thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for finding him worthy to lead the NSCDC.
The outgoing Acting Commandant General of the Corps, Hillary Madu urged the Officers and Men to support the new CG.
