To commemorate this year’s Democracy Day, Nigeria’s President,. Muhammadu Buhari, is expected to address the nation on Saturday June 12.
The national broadcast is scheduled for 7:00am, according to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President Media and Publicity), Femi Adesina, on Friday.
The statement also enjoined Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.
Ahead of Saturday’s broadcast to the nation, President Buhari’s exclusive interview with the government-owned NTA scheduled for airing from 8.30 pm, Friday, June 11 “promises to be revealing and educating,” according to an earlier statement by Mr. Adesina.
The president had earlier granted a similar interview to the private television news channel, ARISE in which he commented on a number of topical issues, including the controversial generated by the recent appointment of the Chief of Army Staff, Major-General Farouk Yahaya, among others.
