The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested a 23-year-old woman, Rahimat Salaum in connection with the alleged murder of her husband.
According to a statement by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, Salaum was arrested after receiving credible intelligence.
She was attempting to flee with her husband’s belongings in a mini truck when police operatives apprehended her.
Upon interrogation, Salaum admitted to killing her husband after a fight ensued between them.
She then led operatives to an uncompleted building where she had dumped her husband’s gruesomely burnt body.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, has assured that justice will be served in the matter.
He urged residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.
“The investigation is ongoing”, he added.
