Manchester United is facing a potential exodus as five key players, including Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia, and Antony, have informed the club of their desire to leave.
According to Fabrizio Romano, “Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia, and Jadon Sancho have all informed Manchester United they wish to leave.”
The club has delayed their return date to allow time to explore solutions for the quintet.
Rashford’s future at Old Trafford looks uncertain, especially after his No. 10 jersey was handed over to new signing Matheus Cunha. “It’s clear that Rashford’s role in the team is being reevaluated,” a source close to the club revealed.
Sancho’s permanent deal with Chelsea stalled due to wage issues, with the Blues opting to pay a £5m penalty instead. Garnacho was reportedly advised to find a new club after being benched in the European Cup final, with a source saying, “Garnacho was visibly upset about being benched, and it’s clear that he needs regular playing time to develop.”
Antony’s career has seen a boost at Real Betis, with the Spanish side considering another loan spell with an obligation to buy for £30m.
Malacia’s injury issues have hampered his chances of constant playing time, and his loan deal with PSV Eindhoven failed to transform into a permanent deal.
Manchester United has assured the players access to training facilities while they explore their options.
As the situation unfolds, one thing is clear: the Red Devils are facing a major squad overhaul.
