Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, has praised the administration of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State for its remarkable transformation of the state, particularly Maiduguri city, despite facing significant challenges such as flood disasters and Boko Haram insurgency.
During his first official visit to Borno State in six months, Minister Momoh met with Deputy Governor Hon. Umar Usman Kadafur at the Government House in Maiduguri.
The minister’s primary objective was to assess the activities of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) in Borno and strengthen collaboration with the state government.
“The primary objective of my visit is to assess the activities of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) in Borno and engage directly with the state government to strengthen collaboration and align development priorities,” Engr. Momoh said.
The Deputy Governor expressed gratitude for the minister’s visit and commended the NEDC for its tangible contributions to Borno State’s development.
He highlighted that a tour of various project sites would showcase the commission’s impactful interventions, which have improved infrastructure, livelihoods, and recovery efforts in conflict-affected areas.
