Gabriel Jesus is set to leave Arsenal for Barcelona after the two clubs agreed a deal worth €10 million, including add-ons, for the Brazilian forward.
Jesus will sign a two-year contract with Barcelona, with an option to extend the deal for another year until 2029.
The 29-year-old immediately accepted Barcelona’s proposal, viewing the move as a dream opportunity to continue his career at one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Arsenal have authorised Jesus to travel to Spain on Monday for his medical as Barcelona work to complete the final steps of the transfer.
Jesus joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 and made a strong start under Mikel Arteta. His time in north London was later affected by injuries, while competition for places in attack also made it increasingly difficult for him to hold down a regular role.
That situation eventually opened the door for a move, with Barcelona now offering Jesus the chance to start afresh in Spain.
For Arsenal, his departure is another change to an attacking group Arteta has been reshaping, while Barcelona get a forward with Premier League and Champions League experience.
Once he passes his medical, Jesus will complete his Arsenal exit and begin his next spell with Barcelona
