Gombe PDP governorship candidate, Isa Ali Pantami
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Gombe State, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has vowed to expose those he accused of plotting against his political ambition following his omission from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) list.
Pantami made the declaration in a Hausa video message shared with his supporters.
He thanked his supporters for standing by him despite the controversy surrounding the publication of INEC’s final list of candidates.
The former Minister said many of his supporters had continued to pray for him in mosques and churches, describing their support as a great source of strength.
He said their commitment and sacrifices had encouraged him to remain focused despite the challenges.
Pantami urged his followers not to lose hope because of criticism or mockery from political opponents.
He reminded them that even prophets faced opposition during their lifetime but remained steadfast.
The PDP candidate alleged that investigations by his camp had confirmed that some individuals were working behind the scenes to frustrate his political movement.
He claimed that huge resources and time had been invested in the alleged conspiracy against him.
Pantami, however, expressed confidence that no human effort could stop what God had ordained.
“Very soon, we will expose and provide sufficient details about all the acts of hypocrisy and the conspiracies that have been plotted, including those responsible for them,” he said.
Although he did not mention any names, Pantami assured his supporters that the identities of those allegedly involved would soon be made public.
His political future has remained a subject of debate since both his name and that of the PDP were omitted from INEC’s final list for the 2027 Gombe State governorship election.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Sani Shawai, spokesperson for APC governorship candidate Dr. Jamilu Isiaku Gwamna, argued that the controversy centres on whether Pantami’s name appeared in the PDP membership register submitted to INEC within the legally required period.
Shawai maintained that although Pantami reportedly won the PDP rerun primary, the legal dispute over his candidacy remains tied to compliance with the Electoral Act governing party membership and candidate nomination.
