The remains of the Late Commissioner of Police, Jatau Anga (Rtd), was on Saturday buried amidst tributes and eulogies from the Church, family and associates.
CP Anga, who was also a former military administrator of Enugu State, battled with dementia for few years, before he died in Bukuru near Jos, last week Tuesday 6th June, 2024 at the age of 83 years.
He was buried in accordance with Christian rites in his family compound in Mada station, Nasarawa Eggon local government area of Nasarawa State, after funeral service at ERCC church.
The President of Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC), Rev. Dave Denji, led other clerics to conduct the burial service/prayers for the family and the deceased.
Earlier, tributes from the former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, PDP governorship candidate in 2023, David Ombugadu, ECDA President, David Abuluya, Area Commander of Police, Akwanga, the wife, Church and others, all eulogized the good virtues of the deceased.
They all described late CP Anga’s death as a great loss to them, the Church, Eggon nation, the state and the country at large.
Senator Solomon Ewuga, in a vote of thanks during the church service, said the late Anga, made lots of positive impact during his lifetime, contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of the country at large.
“I pray that Almighty God be pleased with the soul of our late father and grant his family and the people of the state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, Ewuga said.
CP Anga’s remain was lowered to grave after 24 gun salutes from the personnel of the Nigerian Police Force.
