NDC Presidential candidate, Peter Obi and Senator Henry Dickson
Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has congratulated distinguished Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, on his recognition by Leadership Newspaper as Politician of the Year.
Mr. Obi in his congratulatory message on Monday said Senator Dickson is a seasoned politician and public servant whose experience cuts across party administration, the legislature, and the executive arm of government.
According to him, this recognition is not only a testament to his years of service but will also further spur him to greater commitment as we work together towards building a political platform capable of offering Nigerians the leadership that is needed to move the country forward.

Senator Dickson is a Nigerian lawyer and politician. He has been the Senator representing Bayelsa West senatorial District since 2020 in the 9th National Assembly and also from 2023 in the 10th Assembly. He was the governor of Bayelsa State from 14 February 2012 to 14 February 2020. He was a member of the House of Representatives from 2007 until 2012.
He currently serves as the Founder and National Leader of the NDC.
