President Bola Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu will personally lead the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign in 12 states ahead of the 2027 general election, as the ruling party begins preparations for its nationwide mobilisation.
The APC has released its campaign timetable covering all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with activities scheduled to run from October 2026 to January 2027.
According to the schedule, Tinubu’s first major campaign appearance will take place in Kaduna on October 24, 2026.
The President is expected to lead rallies in key states, including Rivers, Plateau, Oyo, Borno, Enugu, Bauchi, Sokoto, Delta, Kano, Adamawa and Lagos.
His campaign tour will begin in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on November 7, followed by Plateau on November 14 and Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 21.
Tinubu is also scheduled to visit Maiduguri, Borno State, on November 25, Enugu on November 28 and Bauchi on November 29.
Other presidential campaign stops listed on the timetable include Sokoto on December 5, Asaba in Delta State on December 12, Kano on December 17, Yola in Adamawa State on January 4, 2027, and Lagos for the grand finale on January 9.
The planned appearances come shortly after Tinubu announced that he would not attend every campaign rally because of the need to remain focused on governance while the party seeks support for his re-election.
Speaking at the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the President said he would participate in selected rallies and allow party leaders and campaign officials to handle other engagements.
Beyond Tinubu’s personal campaign schedule, the APC timetable includes rallies across other states as the party begins its nationwide outreach ahead of the 2027 election.
Some of the listed states include Gombe, Nasarawa, Ekiti, Ebonyi, Jigawa, Ondo, Edo, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Katsina, Ogun, Abia, Kogi, Osun, Kwara, Zamfara, Niger, Taraba, Cross River, Kebbi, Yobe, Bayelsa and Imo.
The campaign plan marks the beginning of a major political battle ahead of 2027, as the APC seeks to retain power while opposition parties work to strengthen their chances of challenging the ruling party.
The election is expected to focus on issues such as economic reforms, security, infrastructure, employment and the overall impact of government policies on Nigerians.
