The police authority in Bauchi State have reportedly attested a middle age man for allegedly killing his girlfriend who had a baby for him and dump their corpses in a sewage.
This is according to a statement issues on Friday by the state’s police spokeman, DSP Mohammad Wakil,
DSP Wakil explained that the suspect conspired with his friend and fixed a canola into her arm and administered her with dextrose water, Quinine and ostagen in order to abort her pregnancy which culminated into an induced labour.
He added that this led to the death of his lover and her baby.
The Police Spokesman said: “On 7th April, 2021 at about 12pm, one Saidu Iliyasu of Zubuki area in Jamaare L.G.A of Bauchi State, came to Jama’are Divisional Headquarters and reported that on the 5th April, 2021 his daughter, one Jamila Saidu (35) of the same address was declared missing.
“A search party was organized, but to no avail, until on the 8th April, 2021 at about 10.30am when her decomposed body was discovered with a new born child in a Sewage at her boyfriends house identified as Lamido Gunduma at unguwar Yari-mari, Jamaare.
“During preliminary investigation, it was discovered that the above suspect criminally conspired with one Ishaq Abdullahi (34) of the same address and fixed a canola into the arm of the said Jamila Saidu and administered her with dextrose water, Quinine and ostagen in order to abort her pregnancy which culminated into an induced labour.
“This resulted to the death of the victim and the new born baby. The suspect then deposited the corpses in the sewage system within his compound and fled to Kwadon in Gombe state where he was tracked and arrested”.
The police spokeman noted that investigation has been completed and the suspect has been charged to court for prosecution accordingly.
