The Vice-chancellor of Nasarawa State University Keffi, Professor Muhammed Bala has called for fervent prayers for the University and the nation in general, so that God would restore peace in the country.
Speaking in an interview with journalists in Laminga last Thursday on the occasion to mark this years celebration of Edil-fitri, the Vice-chancellor stated that the high level insecurity caused by the activities of Boko-haram, kidnappers and banditry requires serious attention from God.
The Vice Chancellor maintained that the insecurity has brought untold hardship to the needy and the poor.
He also said the University needs prayers for stability, particularly for them to complete ongoing work at the Faculty of Medical Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering.
Professor Bala, who noted that the institution is also working on the Faculty of Agriculture to be sited at Gudi, assured the people that with their prayers, the faculties would be completed in the nearest future.
The euridite scholar, who also lamented the prevalence of the deadly diseases affecting the country especially Covid-19, urged both the Muslim and Christains communities to pray for the country.
