The Borno State Government through its N-Agriprenuears program has empowered no fewer than 47 Youths in agro-businesses in the State.
The State Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Engr Bukar Talba in collaboration with The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and The Climate Change Adaptation and Agribusiness Support Programme (CASP), launched and distributed empowerment starter packs to N- Agriprenuears ( Youth in Agro business) in the state.

NATIONAL ACCORD reports that the program took place at the premises of Bosap Office in Maiduguri.
Engr. Talba explains that the distribution of starter packs would create jobs opportunities among rural Youths and their critical needs that would enable them kick start their businesses and socioeconomic status.
While noting that 90% of the Borno populations engage in agricultural activities which is their main occupation, The Commissioner explained that the State Government has initiated various rice production schemes in addition to the established cottage industries in order to boost to agricultural productivity in the State.
He however, decried that in recent time, farming activities in Borno State have been hampered by the Boko Haram insurgency.
