The re-elected Chairman of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) Nasarawa State chapter, Comrade Jimoh Musa Along has pledged to carry members along as they have demostrated high level confidence in him and other executives by returning them unopposed to be continue with the good work they are doing.
The election which took place at the High Court premises in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area of the state was conducted under a peaceful atmosphere.
The election which was witnessed by security operatives and the state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and that of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) saw all members of the Excos returned unopposed except the position of the state Assistant Secretary which was contested by three persons.
In the keenly contested election, Comrade Saidu Aliyu scored 190 votes to beat his closest rival Abubakar Mohammed by four votes to emerge as the winner. Mr. Aliyu who scored 190 votes beat his closest contender Abubakar Mohammed who pulled 186 votes, while the third contestant Masud Muhammed scored only 13 votes.
Others who were elected unopposed along with the state chairman include – Comrade Sunday Daniel, Naomi Zekpo, Muhammed Agwai and Anna Enzom. Others include Abe Jonathan, be Endeson Naigona, Iyigulu Solomon, and Shuaibu Lako.
In his post election speech, the JUSUN State Chairman, Jimoh Alonge expressed happiness for the revalidation of his mandate for a second time and thanked members for the confidence reposed on them and promised to do more in his second tenure.
The chairman pledged to ensure that the independence of the judiciary and that of the legislature is achieved, while promising to sustain the struggle which he said is a “battle to to finish”.
He also solicitated for their continued support and prayers as their second tenure shall be more rewarding.

Earlier, administering the oath of office to the new executive council members, the electoral officer for the election, Comrade Friday Ochai, who is the National Auditor of the JUSUN, commended members of the union in the state for their show of maturity leading to the peaceful conduct of the election.
He urged them to work together for the over all good of the judiciary in the country.
High point of the election was the administration of oath of office on the new excos by the national Auditor Mr. Sunday Ochai.
