Nasarawa State Government has warned against “taking the state back to the dark days of unrest and insecurity.”
Senior Special Assistant to the state Governor on Conflict Resolution Mr. Moses Utondu stated this while addressing displaced persons in Kadarko, Keana Local Government Area.
The displaced persons, from Doma and Keana LGAs, fled their homes in over 15 boundary communities with Benue, following an attack on Ajimaka village.

Nine people were said to have been killed by gunmen, many of them minors.
Mr Utondu said the state government will ensure safety of lives and appealed against reprisals.
Mr Cletus Wansha, who is displaced, estimated that about 3000 people have fled their homes due to the attack and appealed for more security to the communities.
These figure has however not been verified by authorities.
