Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi

The Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi has lost his father Alhaji Maaji Audi.
Alhaji Audi died on Thursday September 30, 2021 after a brief illness.
The late Audi, a former treasurer with Keffi Local Government Council of Nasarawa State, served his father land successfully for thirty five years before his retirement from the public service.
A honest and devout Muslim, Maaji Audi as he was fondly called by his people left behind many children and great grand children including Professor Bala Ahmed Abubakar Audi who is the current Vice-Chancellor of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi and Ahmed Abubakar who is the Commandant General of NSCDC.
Speaking to Journalists at his home town in Laminga, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar described his late father as a man of honour whose virtues, his children have imbibed and has helped them to serve the country in different capacities without problem.
He stated that his late father who worked in the treasury department of the local government for years refused to take bribe and acquire ill gotten wealth, a virtue most of his children have copied which inform the reason for their excelling in public service.
The Commandant General, who expressed happiness for the life of their late father who trained them well, however described the death as a great loss to the family as he died when his fatherly counsel was most needed.
He is consoled by the fact that his father has gone peacefully to live with the Almighty Allah and prayed God to grant his soul a peaceful rest in heaven.
Since the passage of the late octagenarian, sympathisers from all over the country have been visiting Laminga Town to pay their last respect to the former treasurer and to commisserate with the Commandant General and the Vice-Chancellor over the death of their father.
A former commandant general of the NSCDC Mr. Babagana Muhammed, the Controller General of the Nigeria Correctional Centres and other top civil servants including the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior have made condolence visit to the Audi’s family.
